Last week, the final of the US 9-Ball saw two Filipino players battle it out on the baize for the championship.
Nonoy Quinones beat opponent Jaynard Orque 5-1 in the 2008 United States Pool Players Association (USPPA) 9-Ball Championships at the San Regency Hotel in Reno, Nevada.
Susantha Takes The 9-Ball Title

Susantha Boteju defeated A.C.M Zaheer of MSC earlier this week to win the 9-Ball Championships.
The national snooker champion won Zaheer ten frames to eight in a 19 frame final, held at the billiards headquarters table at Race Course, Reid Avenue.

Sir Rodney Walker is Re-elected in the WPBSA

Sir Rodney Walker has been re-elected as the Chairman of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. The decision was made earlier this week at the sports annual meeting in Sheffield UK.
Snooker’s voting players supported Sir Rodney even though it was due for him to retire.

Elephant and a snake in the jungle
The elephant goes to the snake and asks "Do you want to play snooker??" "Are you a fool? We are in the jungle and i haven't got any arms!!" the snake said. "It's easy", says the elephant. "We pick a colour and then do a trick and the other one says if they got the colour or not!!!" The snake agrees to play the game and says "you go first". The elephant says "I will go for a red ball." The snake says "What are you going to do??" The elephant says "Well I'm going to stand on one of my front leg", and so he does. The snake says "Well done, you got the red ball." "It's your turn now." says the elephant. The snake "I'm gong for the red ball as well, and for that I'm going to stand on my tail and shed a skin." The snake then does it and the elephant says "Well done, you have a red." The sake then replies "What colour next?" The elephant says "I'm going to go for the black." The snake replies back "That must be a good trick to get it." The elephant then says "I will stand on a front leg then back flip onto a back leg..." He attempts it and fails..." The snake then replies "For my trick I'm going for the black. I'm going to do is go into your butt and come out through your trunk." then the elephant says "If you do that i will give you the black." So the snake goes in the elephants butt and then the elephant tucks his head between his legs and puts his trunk up his butt and says: "Now your snookered you fool!!!!"
An Affair
A man is having an affair. Worried that his wife will find out, he phones one of his mates, hopping that she'll help her solve this problem. Later, when he goes home to his wife in the early hours of the morning after putting snooker chalk on his shirt and just behind his ear. He was told to do so by his mate but wondered why. "Where have you been?" says the wife. "I don't want to lie to you, I've been having an affair, I'm so sorry..." says the man. She looks him up and down and notices the chalk behind his ear and on his clothes. "YOU LIAR !!" she shouts........ "You've been playing bloody snooker all night !!!"
