Gallego Hopes For A Double

Ramil ‘Bebeng’ Gallego hopes to become a two-time winner at the 1st Senate President many Villar Cup this Thursday as the tournament continues at the Atrium of Gaisano Mall in Dawao City.
The contender, from Bacolod City is a former fixture of Bacolod's Libertad public market area billiards hall, and also a member of the Negros Billiards Stable of Bacolod. Gallego was the titlist at the current tour’s Bulacan leg of the tournament last month, held in SM City – Marilao, Bulacan and hopes to repeat his success this week.
In order to achieve a second win, Gallego will have to outplay some of the most credited players in the world such as formidable participant Efren ‘Bata’ Reyes and former double champion Ronnie Alcano. World Pool runner-up Roberto Gomez and Lee Van Corteza will also be a part of Thursday’s leg alongside former Manny Villar Cup champion, Warren kiamco, and top cue star Gandy Halle.
The top prize for the competition will be P300, 000 and 32 players will battle it out on the baize for the money.
Other participants include Rodolfo Luat, Dondon Razalan, Godofredo Ducanes, Jundel Mazon, and Francisco Felicilda. Rubilen Amit and Mary Ann Basas are the female competitors.
