Moh Loon Hong has decided to withdraw his cue from Internetional competition after spending 17 years playing for the national billiards team.

The 54 yr old has earned some prestigious titles throughout his professional career such as gold medals in the English billiards tournament in 1991 and again at the 1995 sea games. The Penang-born potter is now ready to announce his retirement from the international circuit. He plans to correctly inform the Malaysian Snooker and Billiards Federation(MSBF) that he doesn't wish to participate anymore.

At my age, there is no point carrying on playing in theinternational arena. I will be writing to the MSBF soon to tell them of my decision and it final, said Hong.
Moh, who represented Malaysia at the Korat sea games last year won the silver medal, however, he has nothing to prove and feels it’s time he gave up the gruelling schedule and long training hours to enjoy his older years, he explained,

no longer have the desire to play for the country because of my age. The training, especially in billiards, is very demanding and I just cannot ake it anymore.’
At present Moh is working in Kuala Lumpur as a supervisor in a snooker centre.
